Follow this comprehensive recipe to ensure bubble-free results and structural rigidity.

Mixing stone powder and water
Step 01

The Golden Ratio & Mixing

Always add your ultra-fine stone powder to the measured water (not the other way around) to prevent clumps. Use a precise ratio of 100g powder to 30g water. Stir gently in one direction for 2 minutes to minimize air bubble formation.

Pro Tip: Need the exact mixing cups and spatulas we use? Check out our Material Checklist above.

Pouring liquid mixture into mold
Step 02

Pouring and Vibration De-aeration

Pour the liquid mixture in a slow, steady stream into one corner of your silicone mold, allowing it to self-level. Gently tap the sides of the mold for 60 seconds to force trapped micro-bubbles to rise to the surface.

Sanding the cured planter base
Step 03

Curing, Demolding & Finishing

Allow the cast piece to cure undisturbed for 45 to 60 minutes until it feels warm and completely rigid. Gently peel back the silicone edges. Finish by wet-sanding the base with 400-grit sandpaper for a buttery-smooth tactile feel.
